About Keywords Selection

To build a site, you need to decide on a niche, and select keywords for that niche. For each keyword, one page can be built targeting that keyword, using keyword rich, relevant and unique contents.

After you find your keywords, save them. You can reuse the same keywords to build more sites on another domain later.

How to Select your Keywords

The most important factor in determining good quality keywords is Search Volume. Competition (Result) is important too, but not as important as Search Volume. You should not be afaid of competition, because your pages built with YACG PLUS can beat most if not all competitions.  What we want is high traffic keywords. And the higher Search Volume, the more traffic to your sites.

Forget about KEI, R/S ratio or just about any other indicators

They all sound good in theory, but not really useful in practice for several reasons. Only Search Volume counts.

• These indicators are random, depending on data source used. They fluctuate a lot because of small sampling rate (less than 1% mostly) available at data source. So they are not reliable at all.
• They are complicated, and can drastically slow down your keyword research and selection.
• Even if you used "wrong" keywords, don't worry. So long as the "wrong" keywords are themed and related to your niche, they can at least help your other pages rank (assuming your internal linking structure is optimized, of course).
• We've launch several thousand YACG PLUS sites. We noticed no correlation betwwen keyword profitability and any of those indicators.

Note: Different data source returns different Search Volume for a given keyword. So it's not very reliable too. But that's the best you can rely on, and it's much better than its derivative cousins such as KEI and R/S ratio etc.. To compensate for this reliability issue, it's always a good idea to use multiple data sources. That's what we do here at YACG PLUS.
