What is a good template?

(1) It should be as unique as possible with least footprint. So when websites using that template get deindexed, no other sites will be discovered and deindexed as a result of sharing the same design (footprint). This is haystack of needles approach.

         OR

(2) It is very popular and widely used by many other websites. An example of this is a popular wordpress blog theme that's used by tens of thousands of websites or more. The problem Search Engines face is that it can not simply deindex all websites that share the same desgin or footprint, because many of those websites are white hat. This is needle in a haystack approach.

Why a good template is important?

A website built on a good template tend to stay in Search Engine index long, and human visitors tend to stay on your site long too. The end result is more money in your pocket for the same amount of effort you put in. In fact, it would not be a surprise to see double total lifetime income of a website simply by using a good template.

Our Approach

(1) Download popular template designs from open source designs directory such as http://www.oswd.org/, http://www.openwebdesign.org/, and http://www.freecsstemplates.org/ etc.
(2) Convert them to YACG or  YACG PLUS compatible templates.
For your information, the only difference between YACG and YACG PLUS template format is that YACG PLUS template is more portable and convenient, because it seperates presentation (template design) from contents generated by content hooks, so when you change your content hooks, no change is required in the template. YACG template can be converted to YACG PLUS template very easily (and vice versa).

Using one template on all subdomains or subdirectories across the same domain

Of course it's better to have one template for each subdomain/subdirectory. But it's very time consuming. Additionally, a ban (deindex) on the main domain is generally followed by a ban (deindex) on all subdomains/subdirectories, but usually it is not the other way around.

There's a balance between effeciency and cost. You want to make money and cut down your cost. Time is money. So you don't want to spend too much time on making templates. The best strategy is to use same template on all subdomains/subdirectories on the same domain.

Your Options in Choosing a Template

  • Option 1: You can design your own template, either in YACG format or in YACG PLUS format.
  • Option 2: You let us randomly pick a template from our template library.
  • Option 3: We custom design one for you (with non-exclusive right to use), based on an open source template design available online (such as from a template designs directory) chosen by you or us.
